Fourth Training of Trainers Seminar

Place: Antwerp, Belgium
Date: 07-08 January, 2006

Daniel Gile, Professor at Université Lumière, Lyon 2, will offer a seminar on “Interpreter training: traditions, beliefs, methods and theories - what is really useful, and why?”

This is the fourth and final seminar in the first series of AIIC Training of Trainers seminars. Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance from AIIC. Those who have attended all four seminars will be awarded a Certificate of Completion for the full AIIC Training of Trainers series. This seminar will be held in English.

The seminar is designed for:

  • experienced conference interpreters intending to teach,
  • conference interpreters with limited classroom experience wishing to enhance their teaching strategies,
  • experienced teachers of interpretation interested in pooling pedagogical ideas.

Minimum attendance for seminar to be held: 8.
Maximum number of participants: 20.

If enough people sign up, a second seminar covering the same topic will be offered in Rome on 21-22 January, 2006. In that event, participants will be asked a preferred date. 

Cost of seminar

AIIC members: € 200.-
Non-AIIC members: € 250.-
