The Conference Interpreting team at the University of Westminster will be holding a short (six-day) course for interpreters with English B in August 2010. We are flexible as to dates (the weeks of August 2nd or 9th) and numbers (up to 18) and would like to hear from colleagues who would be interested in attending.

The course programme would be based on the following:
- Participants would give speeches in their A languages for colleagues to interpret.
- We would need a minimum of three participants per A language group.
- We could have up to six languages depending on numbers.
- The focus would be on simultaneous interpreting but there will be opportunities to practise consecutive too.
- In addition to interpreting practice there will be English language enhancement and voice coaching.
- We will arrange two lectures on topics of interest to participants.
- The course will include 2 visits to London cultural sites.
- The fee (not including accommodation) would be €1200.00 per participant.
