The position is located in the Interpreting Division of the Office of Language Services of the Department of State. The Division traditionally handles the most difficult interpreting assignments in the Federal Government, including service for the President, cabinet members, and congressional leaders. The incumbent functions as a Diplomatic Interpreter.
Key Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- Overseas travel may be required.
- Incumbent will be subject to random drug testing.
- This position requires the applicant to pass a Language Proficiency Test.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
