The Monterey Institute of International Studies, Graduate School of Translation and Interpretation, invites applications for Assistant/Associate Professor of English/Spanish Interpretation and Translation, rank open, to start August 2002.
The Graduate School of Translation and Interpretation, established in 1955, offers MA Programs in Translation and Interpretation, Conference Interpretation, and Translation in English, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Spanish. We are seeking a dedicated professional to teach courses in simultaneous and consecutive interpretation and translation: required English A plus Spanish A or B. One or two other C languages required: Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Russian. Extensive professional experience in conference interpretation, university-level teaching experience in interpretation, translation experience, a commitment to research, an advanced degree related to the field (Ph.D. or terminal degree in the field) preferred.
