Join Michelle Hof for an intensive workshop in retour interpreting into English in Curitiba, Brazil
If you are a professional conference interpreter with English as a "retour" or B language (active language at near-native proficiency) and you would like to improve your interpreting skills into English, then this course is for you. Interpreters with a strong English C (passive knowledge) who plan to upgrade their English to a B will also be welcome to join.
Together with a native English interpreting trainer and in supportive environment, you will work on producing clear, easily comprehensible English interpretations in both simultaneous and consecutive mode. You will learn about the criteria used to assess the quality of retour interpreting, as well as some of the pitfalls of this mode and how to avoid them. Over the course of the workshop, you will explore your own strengths and weaknesses when interpreting into English, and discover where to focus your efforts to take your skills to the next level.
