6th Latin American T&I Conference, 21-24 April 2016 in Buenos Aires
A joint presentation by AIIC South America and the VEGA network to be among the many offering on interpreting.

The Sixth Latin American Translation and Interpreting Congress will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on April 21-24, 2016 and will include several papers focusing on interpreting. One such presentation organized jointly between AIIC's South America Region and AIIC`s VEGA-Young Interpreters Network is entitled "Un acercamiento al mundo de la interpretación" (An approach to the world of interpreting) and is slated to include remarks by AB Member Katty Kauffman, Regional Secretary Martín Barrère and VEGA’s Coordinator Verónica Pérez Guarnieri.
Several other AIIC members are also scheduled to speak at this major Congress. Liese Katschinka will present as a Special Guest. Keynote speakers include Walter Kerr and Verónica Pérez Guarnieri. Olga Álvarez-Barr will also present a paper. In addition, several AIIC members will serve as moderators on core panels on interpreting and translation. AIIC members active on the local subcommittee will also be present at the roundtable discussion on ISO/IRAM (Argentine Institute of Standardization) standards on translation and interpretation.
