An interpreter is not a translator (we use our voice and gestures)
(translators use the written word).
An interpreter does not parrot (we do not repeat without thinking, we think and then re-phrase, in our language, the ideas expressed by others).
An interpreter is not born one, to become one he/she needs:
- to possess certain aptitudes

- to acquire techniques

- to follow a set of values and standards
- to follow a path that will be full of twists and turns
