Christine Adams and Zoë Hewetson (English As, formerly of the University of Westminster MA, Conference Interpreting) are running short courses for colleagues with English B as there is a felt need for opportunities for them to refresh their skills in a practical, supportive environment.

Practical information

The courses would include:

  • monitored interpreting exercises in the booth,
  • consecutive practice,
  • voice coaching,
  • English language enhancement,
  • talks and debates on topical issues,
  • speech preparation and delivery in both A and B languages,
  • listening to colleagues working into B.

While the second week is fully booked, there are a couple of places per language group in the first week, for colleagues with Arabic, Italian or Spanish A.

Cost

The EUR 1500. fee covers tuition, not accommodation.
