EU - interim report from the EU negotiating delegation, November 2006

The delegation thanks all colleagues who have attended meetings, expressed support and sent comments on the talks requested by the Institutions to revise the Agreement. All comments have been examined, with arguments catalogued and added to the delegation's files.

The mandate for these talks adopted at the sector's meeting on 16 Oct. and since approved by AIIC's Council may be consulted at No password is needed, which means non-members may also consult it. On the same page you will find past reports by the delegation, including our Sept. 2006 report which followed the opening meeting in the current talks and was sent subsequent to the information meeting organised by the delegation on 13 Sept.

To receive further reports from us by e-mail, all colleagues working in the sector are reminded that they may subscribe to AIIC's EU sector mailing list. Go to and follow the link (top right) to the mailing list. You are encouraged to tell all colleagues about it, and that they do not have to be AIIC-members to subscribe.

As usual, further information meetings for colleagues or resumptions of the sector meeting will be organised with due regard for the venues and dates likely to enable the largest number of colleagues to attend, while at the same time avoiding undue delay in reporting to the sector.

An information meeting is planned for Strasbourg on 12 Dec. Further details will be announced when arrangements are finalised.
