Training of trainers: Matching interpreting classes with student needs

From the editor: This course featured a practical approach to interpreter training, breaking down skills and the different phases of skill acquisition and showing how to make the learning process engaging. Particular attention was given to getting the transition between phases right, as well as to the critical choice of exercises and material. Cathy Pearson, a former teacher and now staff interpreter and senior trainer for the European Commission, led the course. Barry Olsen contributed a talk on "Conference interpreting and the challenges of going virtual."
