Under the title No globalisation without communication, this event focused on simultaneous interpreting and its contributions to our world. Presentations and enacted scenarios took audience on a multimedia journey through time from the Nuremberg Trials to today’s world of the European Patent Office and the United Nations.
Speakers were Evelyn Moggio (United Nations) and Ute Kirstein (European Patent Office).
The project was implemented by MA Conference Interpreter undergraduates at the University of Applied Linguistics, Munich, directed by Prof. Klaus Ziegler (AIIC, SDI).
